A woman died after being hit by a car on Vanguard Drive

ER24 paramedics this morning attended to a fatal accident on Vanguard Drive. 

A woman in her 50’s died after she was knocked over by a car while trying to cross the road. 

ER24 Spokesperson Vanessa Jackson said the initial assessment show that she had no signs of life and she had already died due to the traumatic nature of her injuries that she had sustained in the collision.

Jackson said it is believed that she was trying to cross Vanguard Drive when a BMW collided into her.  The driver of the BMW sustained no physical injuries and he left the scene privately a short time later. 

Police are still investigating the circumstances leading to the fatal accident.
