ACDP call for an investigation in the promotion of grass root entrepreneurship

The African Christian Democratic Party has called for new avenues to be investigated to promote entrepreneurship at grass root levels. 

This is after President Jacob Zuma admitted that government has so far failed in creating the jobs he had promised, but said a new, longer-term target had been set.

ACDP Parliamentary Leader Wayne Thring said one of the sectors that the ACDP has seen is that instead of the poverty index improve, it has worsened.

 “In 2005 we had a poverty index which indicated that some 48% of our population lived with an amount that is less than R570 per month. In 2012 It was discovered that the poverty index with some 52% of population,” Thring added.
