The African Christian Democratic Party in the Western Cape has called on community, NGO, and religious organisations to take note of the extended trading hours of the new liquor bylaw which includes allow licensees of liquor outlets to apply for trading hour extension.

ACDP Leader in the province Ferlon Christians said businesses who complained about the 2012 bylaw are now given an opportunity to comment.

Christians said this is the best opportunity for the community to make their vices heard with regards to this liquor bylaw.

He added that ACDP has said in the past that alcohol is a problem domestically and the communities need to stand up more especially on Sundays because that is where Christians find problems with the liquor being sold on Sundays.
