The National Union of Mineworkers has confirmed that a strike in the construction sector is over.

NUM spokesperson Lesiba Seshoka said they have yet again scored a major victory in the construction sector by convincing employers through a three week long strike action to agree to further increases.

Seshoka said they have received an increase of up to 12 percent which they will sign on Monday and our members have decided to return to work.

Seshoka added that they are proud of their members who stood firm during the three week long strike.
