The members of the South African Police Services National Intervention Unit were involved in two separate incident in theWestern Cape ,
whereby four suspects were arrested and eight firearms seized.
The firearms included R5 rifle and a 12 bore shotgun and dozens of rounds of ammunition.

Lieutenant General Solomon Makgale
said the Intervention Unit Members received some information and that
information led them to a house in Ilitha Park Khayelitsha.
He further said the members found a
number of fire arms and rounds of ammunition and 5 empty money boxes and a red
Toyota Corolla which was later found to have been stolen.
The suspects are expected to appear
in court once they have been charged.
