The Western Cape MEC of Social Development, Albert Fritz, on Thursday opened a new drug treatment centre in Parkwood.
Progress has been mated in fighting drug
abuse in the country since the introduction of a Inter-Ministerial Committee on
Substance Abuse which was established by cabinet in 2010.
Ministerial Spokesperson Melany Kuhn said
this is a joint initiative with the City of Cape Town
She added that this initiative aims to
deliver services directly to the door step where it is needed.
