One person died in an accident on the R33

One person died while five others were injured including two children after a bakkie and a car collided head-on-along the R33 late last night. 

Netcare 911 Spokesperson Chris Botha said when paramedics arrived they on scene there were four people on the truck

Botha said one person died on the scene and the other five were treated on scene before being transported to a nearby hospital for further care.

The exact details of the cause of the accident will remain a subject of a police investigation.
