The Congress of the People Youth Movement has welcomed the judgment handed down on Friday in the matter between Mosiuoa Lekota and Mbhazima Shilowa.

The court ruled that Lekota is the rightful leader of Cope.  Cope Youth Secretary General Abel Rangata said the judgment paves a way for the Cope to regain its place among the best in South Africa as the alternative party.

Rangata added that they think that it’s going to end all the troubles they traverse since the formation of the COPE.

“We are calling upon all our supporters and members to be united and ensure cope were place its mayor role in the forth-coming 2014 elections,” Rangata said.
