The Western Cape Health department
has reopened the Hanover Park Community Health Centre, which was closed due to
recent incidents of shooting in the area.

Botha said the safeguarding and well-being of staff is a priority.
More than twenty people have been
killed in the area since the beginning of the year due to gang violence.

Magubane said the South African police were requested to increase their
presence in the area and the Western Cape
government Health has beefed up security in the area.
