NSRI Spokesperson Craig Lambinon said the yacht was being taken toPort Elizabeth for
routine repair when she reportedly ran into rocks on North reef of Bird Island this
morning.
Lambinon said when they arrived at the scene they found the crew of in the yacht and the yacht had already semi submerged.
No injuries were reported.
The National Sea Rescue Institute
today rescued seven crew members from a sinking yacht in the Eastern
Cape .

He added that after it was
determined that the yacht was in an unstable condition the crew were ordered off
the yacht to an abandoned ship and they were taken safely to their sea rescue
craft.
No injuries were reported.
