The Western Cape Traffic officials
held 24 roadblocks across the province over the weekend.
12 roadblock were held on Friday and
another 12 on Saturday.

Africa said 2 703 vehicles were stopped on these roadblocks and 983
drivers were tested for alcohol.
Africa said during the roadblocks 22 drunken drivers were arrested
with the highest alcohol reading recorded in Knysna on the N2.
He concluded by saying the total
amount of fines they issued was R179 600 and they also tested the speed of 15 170
vehicles of which they prosecuted 1 617 for exceeding the speeding limit.
