A 14 year-old girl knocked down by a car in Johannesburg

A 14-year-old girl was today knocked down by a light motor vehicle in Johannesburg. 

ER24 Spokesperson Vanessa Jackson said eyewitnesses said the girl was running away from a dog that was chasing her, and she was running across the road when she collided into a car. 

Jackson said the girl crashed against the windscreen of the car and the windscreen was extensively damaged. She had sustained bad injuries on her head and chest and she was in a critical condition when she was transported to hospital.

The lady that was driving the car was not injured.
