The African Christian Democratic Party in the Western Cape said the high violence at schools in the province is alarming.

This comes after media reports revealed that an 18 year-old pregnant matric pupil faces a charge of murder after she stabbed her friend to death.

ACDP Leader in the province Ferlon Christians said something needs to be done urgently.

Christians called on the MEC of Education Donald Grant to put measures in place to ensure that these violent incidents are minimized at schools.
