Business Process Outsourcing Summit to get underway in CPT

25 international investors and 10 analysts from across the world are in the country for the Business Process Outsourcing Summit taking place in Cape Town. 

MEC of Finance, Economic Development and Tourism Alan Winde said the Business Process Outsourcing sector is driving a major boost in job creation for residents of the province. 

Winde said the Business Process Outsourcing industry is one that creates job specifically for younger people in our region.  A few years ago we were sitting 7 000 people employed in the sector already we are at 40 000 people and the projection is by next year going to over 50 000 and by 2016 around about 60 000 in the industry. 

“We are busy looking at a target  of about R 300 million investment over the next period” Winde added.
