The African Democratic Party has
welcomed the announcement that the security cluster ministers` must cover the
legal fees for the public protector.
This comes after the ministers filed
a court application in trying to stop the release of the Nkandla report by the
public protector.
Police Minister Nathi Mthethwa on
Thursday announced they are dropping their court application.
ACDP Parliamentary Leader Wayne
Thring said it is so bad that the taxpayers will have to pay for these legal
fees.
Thring for the cluster ministers to
go to court to try to stop the Public Protector’s report from being released
was unexpected but the ACDP welcomes the fact that the ministers have been
ordered to pay the bill.
