The Congress of South African Trade Union in KwaZulu Natal has called for the immediate arrest of Tongaat Mall construction bosses.  This is after one person died and over 30 people injured when a roof collapsed on them at Tongaat mall.

Cosatu said the construction sector in South Africa has the highest accident report on the site and it is of great concern.

Cosatu KwaZulu Natal Provincial Secretary Zet Luzipho said there has to be an investigation on the ownership of the company. The information we are receiving shows that the person who owns this company is the same individual that was in charge of the eThekwini buses.

Luzipho added that even the eThekwini Municpality may not be the right institution to investigate this case maybe a bigger institution might be needed..
