Five suspects arrested for drug possession in Durban

The Durban Flying Squad together with the Narcotics Task Team over the weekend embarked on drug operations in the South Coast, which resulted in five people being arrested for dealing in drugs. 

The drugs that were found during this operation was estimated to the street value of more than R600 000. 

Colonel Jay Naicker said two of the men will also face charges of illegal possession of firearm and ammunition.

Naicker added that the police are tightening up their efforts in the fight against crime since it’s the festive season now and a lot of tourists are expected in the province.
