Government condemns the looting of shops and stalls

Government has condemned the looting of shops and goods during a violent protest march in Cape Town on Wednesday. 

Over a thousand people were protesting to demand housing and better service delivery. 

GCIS Acting CEO Phumla Williams has called for the police to make quick arrests for the guilty perpetrators. 

Williams said as government they would never condemn marches with the right intentions but once they become violent and impact on ordinary citizens.
