The National Education Health and Allied
Workers Union said the Mpumalanga Department of Social Development should
reconsider its approach and restructure its leadership or risk a collision with
the workers.
Nehawu Mpumalanga Provincial Secretary
Sizwe Motha said the march to the department’s offices last week was a success.
Motha said the memorandum of demands was
handed to MEC K C Mashego Dlamini.
Motha added that the memorandum outlined
things that the union is not happy about within the department which included
the transparency, tender irregularities and nepotism in recruitment process.
