Two separate accidents leaves two dead and four injured

Netcare 911 paramedics this morning attended to an accident scene in Alberton whereby two people died and three were left injured. 

Netcare 911 Spokesperson Santi Steinmann said when they arrived on scene they found that a heavy goods vehicle had left the road when it collided with five woman on the side of the road. 

Steinmann added that tragically two women died while the other three women sustained various injures, they were treated on scene before they were transported to a nearby hospital for further care.

The exact details of the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation. 

Meanwhile in another accident a man has been left severely injured after the forklit that he was driving rolled and then crushed him while he was traveling on the machine. 

The accident happened on the R24 just outside Krugersdorp Nature Reserve. 

ER24 Spokesperson Vanessa Jackson said when paramedics arrived on the scene they found the man was in a critical condition and he suffered multiple injuries and was barely conscious.

Jackson said the man’s injuries included broken bones, head injury as well as chest injuries.  Advance life support paramedics took over his care and placed him on ventilation and he was transported to hospital.
