An accident claimed two lives and fourteen injured in the Free State

ER24 paramedics today attended to a head-on collision accident on the R30 between Allandridge and Odendaalsrus in the Free State whereby two people died and 14 people sustained various injuries. 

Among the injured were two children aged four and eleven-years-old. 

ER24 Spokesperson Christo Venter said 15 people were injured on the scene, one of them died at the scene while another one died on arrival at the hospital.

Venter also said there were also children in the ages of 9 and 11 in the accident and the injured people were transported to nearby Welkom hospitals.

The exact details to the cause of the accidents are not known at this stage and the police are investigating.
