An accident on the R103 near Vrede
late on Monday left one person dead and eighteen injured.

Steinmann said upon their arrival on scene they found that a minibus and a heavy
goods vehicle had collided resulting in one person tragically losing his life
and eighteen people sustaining injuries.
“The injured people were treated on
scene before they were transported to hospital for further medical care.”
Steinmann added.
The exact details of the cause of
the accident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police
investigation.
