The Democratic Alliance said it is still concerned about the high levels of corruption in the country.
This as the Transparency
International Corruption Perception Index was released which showed South
Africa had slipped down
three places in the index to 72.
DA representative on the Standing
Committee on Public Accounts Dion George said government has done very little
to reduce corruption.
Dion added that this is unacceptable
and measures are needed to fight it successfully but it is going to be
difficult because the President himself is leading the chart when it comes to
corruption.
