Metrorail in the Western Cape has today apologised to customers and tourists at the Cape Town station for the lack of cleanness.

This is due to the cleaners who are employed by the PRASA Corporate Real Estate Solutions who downed tools due to contractual dispute.

Between 400 and 600 international and local tourist visit the station every month.

Provincial Regional Manager Mthuthuzeli Swartz said as a result if someone goes through Cape Town station now the station has not been cleaned and not at its best.

“We are asking for patients with the relevant stakeholders and we are assisting in bringing about a resolution” Swartz added.
