The National Union of Mineworkers together
with the Northam Management will today hold wage negotiations with the
Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration.
The negotiations are held with the aim to
put an end to ongoing unprotected strikes at the mines.
Num Acting Spokesperson Livhuwani Mamburu
said they hope an agreement will be reached at these negotiations.
Mamburu said the CCMA Commissioner called
both, Num and Northam company for more negotiations and as Num they will remain
open to any negotiations as long as they are with the aim to put an end to the
strikes.
