Police ready to police Madiba’s memorial service in CPT

Western Cape Police are today ready to make sure that Nelson Mandela’s memorial service which will be held at the Cape Town stadium later today is conducted in a safe and secure atmosphere. 

Operational deployment will consist of members of the public order policing, metro police, traffic officials, law enforcement and emergency officials. 

Police Spokesperson Andre Traut said law enforcement agencies will make sure no crime takes place in and around the stadium.

The memorial service is expected to be attended by many people from the Cape and dignitaries and there is a big line up of musicians.
