The Department of Correctional Services has today confirmed that Rashied Staggie’s parole has been revoked.

The department’s Manelisi Wolela said former Hard Livings gangster Staggie violated one of his parole conditions.

It is alleged his parole being revoked has to do with him joining the Patriotic Alliance which is headed by Kenny Kunene.

Wolela said the matter is under investigation and normal processes will be followed including his appearance before the case management committee, as well as the correctional supervision and parole board of the department.

“The Department of Correctional Services remains committed to ensure that every step is taken for all people in South Africa to be and feel safe” Wolela added.
