Two separate accidents leave four people dead

A case of culpable homicide has been opened by the Delareyville police. 

This is after two cars collided into each other between Delareyville and Geysdorp leaving three people dead. 

The two drivers of the vehicles and a passenger in one of the vehicles died immediately on the scene.

Captain Pelonomi Makau said according to the information, the driver of a Volkswagen Polo was driving from Geysdorp to Delareyville direction when he lost control of his vehicle and collided head on with a Toyota Yaris, which was driving to the opposite direction.

Makau added that the passenger from the Polo sustained serious injuries and was transported to the nearest hospital for medical treatment.

Meanwhile Netcare 911 paramedics late on Wednesday evening attended to an accident on Zuurfontein Road in Kempton Park, whereby a man tragically lost his life in a motor vehicle accident. 

Netcare 911 Spokesperson Santi Steinmann said upon arrival on scene they found that a man had lost his life after his motor vehicle rear-ended into a heavy goods vehicle.

The exact details of the cause of the accident will remain the subject of a police investigation.
