28-year-old SANRAL employee arrested for terrorism

A 28-year-old South African National Roads Agency Limited employee has been arrested for terrorism following a spate of bomb scares at Sanral’s operation centre in Johannesburg last week. 

Hawks’s Spokesperson Paul Ramaloko said investigation into the matter is continuing and more arrests are possible.

Ramaloko said the man was arrested yesterday by the Hawks in Gauteng and he is facing charges related to acts of terrorism

“The 28-year-old will appear in the Pretoria Magistrate court tomorrow on these charges,” Ramoloko added.
