The Congress of the People Youth Movement has called for Police Minister Nathi Mthethwa to resign.

Cope Youth Movement President Abel Rangata said there has been an increase in police brutality.

Rangata said Minister Mthethwa has no appropriate response to murders orchestrated under his watch.

Rangata added that since the Police Commissioner Riah Piyega and Police Minister Nathi Mthetha took office a lot of civilians have been victims of police and these two should resign with immediate effect.
