Investiagtions underway into the Mothutlung protests

The South African Police Service in the North West said it notes a article that was published in a newspaper about the shooting in Brits. 

Provincial Police Spokesperson Sabata Mokgwabone has clarified some issues regarding the protest and the killings. 

He said SAPS regrets the loss of life and a criminal invetsigation is underway. 

Mokgwabone said the investigations are being conducted by the Independent Police Investigative Directorate they investigation the criminal part of the protest.

Mokgwabone further said there is also an internal investiagtion which was established by the provincial police commissiiner and that is to find out whether there were any wrong doing in terms of crowd control.

Two people have been arrested related to gunfire at a church in Khayelitsha

Over the weekend, police were performing stop-and-search operations in Harare when they heard gunshots and followed the sound to a church. ...
