Man who can help police in their investigation
Police in KwaZulu Natal are looking
for a man believed could help the police in two fraud cases which occurred in
Pietermaritzburg last year.
The fraud case has to do with the
usage of false ID documents at several furniture shops.
Police Spokesperson Colonel Jay
Naicker said it is alleged during October and December 2013 people approached several
furniture shops in the City Centre with falsified ID documents which they used
to purchase furniture and electrical equipment to the value of approximately
R51 000.
“A short while later the victims
were contacted by the shops demanding payment on their accounts. After further
investigation it was established that the ID photos and date of issue of the
duplicate ID’s did not match the victims’ records,” Naicker added.
