The National Sea Rescue Institute says an extensive search for two fishermen who went missing two days ago is still continuing in Hout Bay.

The two fishermen are believed to have gone fishing illegally because they did not have fishing rights.

Meanwhile on Wednesday a group of fishermen blocked the entrance to the Hout Bay harbour in protest over fishing rights.

NSRI Spokesperson Craig Lambinon said the search is continuing, and the divers are still at Slangkop searching for the fishermen.
