Youth Cafe launched in Mitchells Plain

Western Cape MEC of Social Development Albert Fritz today launched the first Youth Café in Mitchell’s Plain. 

MEC Fritz said government has acted in a proactive way to the negativity that has filled our communities including violence and drugs; and through this café create hope and independence amongst the youth. 

Fritz said Western Cape department and Social Department came up with the idea of launching a youth café that’s creates hope, that skills people, specifically in the digital domain to go and take part in the digital economy.

The department also aims to roll out the Youth Cafe in Vredendal, Beaufort West and Oudtshoorn
