A woman inured in an accident in Stellenbosch

ER24 paramedics today said one person was injured this is after the woman tried to cross the railway tracks and the train collided with her in Stellenbosch. 

No passengers were injured in the accident. 

Local authorities are investigating the accident. 

ER24 Spokesperson Russel Meiring said when paramedics arrived on scene they found that the woman suffered moderate injuries and she was airlifted to the nearest hospital after being stabilised on scene.
