The People’s Movement of South Africa said more needs to be done to make sure that medicine in South Africa is accessible and affordable.

The movement said it is high time that government puts health on top of the list and to make sure that the pro-public health IP policy is finalised by elections.

People’s Movement of SA’s National Coordinator Tinashe Njanji said they demand that government must make medicine accessible and affordable.

“We also demand that they should work swiftly to bring pharmaceutical companies that were exposed last year, who were wanting to stop the IP policy to be brought to book” Njanji added.
