A man died in a shack fire in Nyanga

A shack fire broke in Nyanga this morning leaving 6 people displaced and one man dead.

The cause of the fire is not known at this stage.

Western Cape Disaster Management Centre Spokesperson Wilfred Solomons-Johannes said the Centre assited the victims with necessary items like food parcels and building materials.

Solomons-Johannes said the man has been identified by his family and the cause of the fire will be investigated.
