Two men trapped and one critically injured in a bus crash in Cape Town

R24 paramedics today attended to an accident scene whereby a bus was involved in a collision and resulted in two men entrapped in the bus.

Paramedics arrived on the scene and found the men trapped in the bus which was lying on its side. 

R24 Spokesperson Luyanda Majija said the entrapped men, one critically injured and another moderately injured were freed from the wreck by jaws-of-life equipment.

Majija added that paramedics treated these and two other seriously injured adult patients. All four patients were transported to 2 Military Hospital for further medical care.

“Other medical emergency personnel were on scene to treat the remainder of the injured bus occupants.” Majija said.

The incident is currently under investigation.
