Two pedestrians injured in an accident in Johannesburg

Two males have been critically injured after they were hit by a vehicle in Hendrick Potgieter Road in Johannesburg West, yesterday.

ER24 Spokesperson Werner Vermaak said the pedestrian along with the second victim sustained severe head injuries as a result of the collision.

Vermaak added that they have stabilised the two critically injured men, one of them was taken to a nearby hospital for urgent medical care. The second pedestrian was transported by ambulance to Flora Hospital for the medical relevant treatment.

It is unclear how the collision occurred and the relevant investigations are currently underway.
