A man died in an aircraft crash in Melkbosstrand

A man tragically died when the aircraft he was in crashed and burst into flames near the M19 in Melkbosstrand late on Tuesday.

ER24 Spokesperson Russel Meiring said paramedics arrived to find that the aircraft was in blaze and firefighters were called to extinguish the fire.

Meiring further said the man died on the scene.

The exact details of the cause of the accident will remain the subject of a police investigation.
