ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene to find the two badly damaged vehicles stationed several meters apart. The exact details of the cause of the accident will remain the subject of a police investigation.

ER24 Spokesperson Luyanda Majija said the driver of the first vehicle a 34 year old female was trapped in her vehicle. After she was rapidly extricated from her vehicle advanced life support interventions were performed on her. Then after 90 minutes resuscitation the women succumbed to her severe injuries.
