The Congress of South African Trade Union in the Northern Cape on Wednesday said it is appalled about the terrible living conditions that some students of the Northern Cape FET College are subjected to.

Cosatu Northern Cape Provincial Secretary Anele Gxoyiya said these allegations need to be investigated and action needs to be taken against those found guilty.

Gxoyiya said the allegations claim that the students are forced to live in dirty places and they have also been forced to go and stay in the township, when there is accommodation.

“We have made a call the Education Department to investigate these allegations as well as the CEO of the FET College must make sure that this matter is resolved as soon as possible” Gxoyiya added.
