The Western Cape Department of
Health on Thursday said the Du-Noon Community Health Centre is expected to open
for patients in August. The centre is
currently under construction and will be finished at the end of May.
Provincial MEC of Health Thenus
Botha said the centre will assist in decreasing the patient load at Somerset Hospital . Botha said the number of staff working at the
health facility will increase from 40 to 189.
Ministerial Spokesperson Helene
Rossouw said that is very trendy modern facility and has been appointed for the
world capital design 2014 project.
“It is a 68 million construction and
the health technology budget for it is almost 16 million” said Rossouw.
