The Western Cape Department of Health said
upgrade to Kleinvlei Community Health Centre will start in June.
This follows several complaints from
community members about long waiting times at the centre.
MEC of Health Thenus Botha said the
improvements through the upgrade will ensure the facility remains operational,
and will be able to accommodate larger patient numbers for the next ten
years.
Ministerial Spokesperson Helene Rossouw
said this centre is starting to experience the overload of patients and this is
happening across all health platforms but it does need some upgrade which will
be finished by next June.
