Western Cape MEC of Human Settlements Bonginkosi Madikizela has responded to allegations made by Minister of Housing Connie September, that there is poor workmanship at the Wallacedene Nomzabalazo Housing Project.  Minister September visited the project last week.

MEC Madikizela said allegations regarding poor workmanship could possibly relate to the other phase of the project and this will be addressed.

Madikizela added that it is one of the projects that were left unblocked during the ANC administration. In his budget speech he spoke about 46 block projects that he inherited and took over and this project is one of them.

“It was blocked because of the failure of the previous administration to monitor the PAP projects and make sure that they are registered with the NHBRC as we have done with this administration” said Madikizela.
