The International Congress on
Infectious Diseases is being held in Cape
Town and this is the first time the conference
is being held in Africa .
Western Cape MEC of Finance, Economic
Development and Tourism Alan Winde said the conference is a great achievement
for the province as it positions the province as a hub of health innovation and
research.
Ministerial Spokesperson Bronwynne Jooste said
Minister Winde welcomed the conference delegates to the Western Cape, there are about
2 000 people who are attending the four day conference.
Jooste said business tourisms is very lucrative
because travellers have a high spend and it creates more jobs in the
province.
