Minister of Police Nathi Mthethwa is today visiting the Cape Flats to inspect election hotspots.

The minister will be speaking with community leaders and inspecting drug dealing and gang hotspots in Cape Town.

Ministerial Spokesperson David Barritt said Minister Nathi Mthethwa  will be visiting Manenberg, Hanover Park, Tafelsig and Bishop Lavis.

Last week Minister Mthethwa said he has requested police to step up policing where gangs and drugs are involved by arresting the druglords.

“He will also be traveling with the other security ministers and will be engaging with community leaders to discuss local issues including the ever present problems of gangsterism and drugs within communities.” Barritt added.
