Official suspended for abusing government’s land

A Corruption Watch investigation has led to the suspension of a senior public official at the Gauteng Department of Infrastructure Development. 
Corruption Watch’s Bigboy Maubane said the investigation found that the official was using government land to run a private resort without authorization. 

The official managed the Roodeplaat Dam Nature Reserve north of Pretoria. 

Maubane added that the department of Infrastructure Development initially suspended the acting manager and Corruption Watch is following an investigation as the Department has promised that they will conducted their own forensic investigation and their own completion of that investigation they would initiate a disciplinary proceedings against her.
