The Department of Home Affairs has extended working hours at all ports of entry for the long Easter weekend.
Minister of Home Affairs Naledi Pandor said the hours have been extended to make sure the facilitation of movement of persons and goods in and out of the country for the Easter weekend is easy and quick.

Departmental Spokesperson Ronnie Mamoepa   said the extension of working hours has the implication of deployment of more staff to the ports of entry to ensure quality, effective and efficient services to people moving across South Africa’s port of entry during the Easter weekend.

"In addition the department of Home Affairs takes this opportunity to extend its best Easter wishes to all those travelling through our air, sea and land ports of entry during this period, while reiterating the national message for all to ensure they arrive alive." said Mamoepa
