Accident near King Shaka Airport leaves one dead

A man died and another person sustained serious injuries in an accident on the R102 near King Shaka airport this morning.

It is believed that the man lost control of the vehicle and veered off the road and collided into a tree.
Netcare 911 Spokesperson Chris Botha said  one person,  a male in his twenties sustained very life threatening injuries.  Paramedics tried to resuscitate him on scene for quite some time but he tragically died due to the severity of his injuries
“A passenger of his in a very serious condition was stabilised on scene and transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment” added Botha
